Head of Commercial Property – Senior Solicitor (3+ PQE Considered) – Bristol

Location: BristolType of Role: Permanent, Full-time (flexible working considered)Salary: £65,000 to £85,000 (DOE)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join an award winning firm as Head of Commercial Property, based in Bristol. This is a key leadership position within a well established and growing department, offering the chance to take on an existing caseload while working closely with senior solicitors, an associate and a paralegal.

The Role

You will advise clients on a broad range of commercial property matters, including:

  • Acquisition and disposal of freehold and leasehold property
  • Acting for landlords and tenants on the grant of new leases
  • Acting on assignments and lease renewals
  • Supporting development projects, including lease schemes
  • Advising on overage and land option agreements
  • Providing commercial property support to the corporate team on business and share sales
  • Supporting the litigation team on property related matters

You will work under director level supervision with support from senior solicitors, while also helping to shape and grow the department.

Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a solicitor who can demonstrate:

  • 3+ years’ PQE in commercial property
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to build strong client and professional relationships
  • Excellent drafting and legal analysis
  • Confidence managing a busy caseload
  • Strong teamwork skills, particularly when supporting junior colleagues
  • Excellent project and time management
  • A practical, commercial approach
