The Opportunity

We are looking to grow our client-facing solution and enterprise architecture practice. Our solution architects work as part of a multidisciplinary consulting team to produce designs for sustainable digital solutions and provide support throughout their implementation.

Typical responsibilities include leading high‑level design activities with clients, delivering architectural assurance with our software development team, and producing technology strategy and analysis. You may occasionally support solutions that we develop to complement our building engineering and design services. The solutions you help to deliver will comprise technologies such as cloud services, data integration and analytics (including AI and ML) and GIS applications.

Is this role right for you?

We’re looking for candidates who:

  • Have worked in one or more of the following Built Environment markets: Energy, Water, Rail, Highways, Aviation, Buildings and Sustainability. Energy experience is particularly valuable for this role.
  • Have delivered technology projects or products in an IT function, IT services or IT consulting environment.
  • Have thorough knowledge of one or more of the following areas of architecture practice: Solution architecture, data architecture, cloud architecture (AWS/Azure/GCP), integration architecture, enterprise architecture.
  • Have experience of business analysis, digital requirements management and project management techniques. In particular, you have experience writing non‑functional requirements (NFRs) and you know how to manage risks and dependencies.
  • Have a background working within the software development lifecycle, are familiar with agile and waterfall delivery methodologies and have worked with the Government Digital Services Framework (GDS Framework).
