This is a pivotal new sales role, designed for a motivated, people-first professional who wants to make a genuine impact in the cyber security sector and help shape CyberQ Groups global expansion plans. You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and converting new business opportunities across all target markets, with a particular focus on the UK SME segment. You will represent the full CyberQ Group portfolio, Worldwide and work closely with our technical and leadership teams to deliver tailored solutions to prospective clients.
Business Development Manager
Hybrid – Birmingham HQ / Field-Based (UK-wide, but Midlands location preferred)
Full-Time, Permanent
Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities across the UK, with a focus on the SME market. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects through outbound activity, networking, events, and referrals. Develop a thorough understanding of the CyberQ Group service portfolio, including SOCaaS, penetration testing, cyber maturity assessments, vCISO, and crisis simulation, and articulate value clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Collaborate with technical pre-sales and delivery teams to scope solutions and respond to client briefs. Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to signed contract, maintaining accurate records in CRM. Represent CyberQ Group at industry events, conferences, and roundtables to raise brand awareness and generate leads. 3–5 years of proven, face-to-face B2B sales experience, ideally in a consultative or solution-selling environment.~ High emotional intelligence, the ability to build authentic, long-term relationships with stakeholders at all levels.~ Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK for client meetings, with some international travel.
Experience using a CRM platform (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce) for pipeline management. Network of contacts in sectors such as logistics, manufacturing, retail, or professional services, key verticals for CyberQ Group.
