Business Development Director Location: Remote, with access to our London office in Moorgate. Contract: Full-time Salary: Competitive base salary plus performance-based commission

About Pepper Pepper is an award-winning, creator-first social media agency delivering end-to-end campaigns across influencer marketing, paid media, organic social, research, creative and production. We work with brands to create social-first strategies and campaigns that are thoughtful, effective and rooted in a deep understanding of people, platforms and culture. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Business Development Director to help us build meaningful new client relationships and shape the next stage of Pepper’s growth.

The Role This is a senior, relationship-led new business role for someone who understands the social media landscape and can confidently speak to the value of influencer marketing, creator partnerships, UGC, organic social, paid media, research and creative work.

You’ll be responsible for identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities, working closely with Pepper’s leadership team and marketing function to bring the right opportunities into the agency.

This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to build and shape Pepper’s new business approach as the agency continues to expand.

Qualify and convert inbound new business enquiries Build and execute outbound strategies across email, LinkedIn, industry networking and other relevant channels Represent Pepper at industry events, meetings and networking opportunities Lead sales conversations across Pepper’s core service areas, including influencer marketing, paid media, research, organic social, creative and production Build relationships with brands, creators, talent managers and industry partners to unlock proactive opportunities Pitch, negotiate and close new business opportunities What Success Looks Like Success in this role will be centred on sourcing, winning and onboarding high-quality new business. You’ll focus on building long-term partnerships and retainer-based opportunities, while also identifying smaller projects that have clear potential to grow. You’ll be expected to bring structure, energy and momentum to the new business process, helping Pepper build a consistent and sustainable pipeline of opportunities.

Has strong experience in business development, partnerships or sales within social media, influencer marketing, creative, media or agency environments Can speak credibly about influencer marketing, UGC, organic social, paid media and creative strategy Has a strong network and knows how to nurture relationships over time Can work collaboratively with creative, strategy, client services and leadership teams Is motivated by building something new and helping shape a growth function You’ll have the backing of an experienced leadership team, the freedom to shape how new business works, and the chance to build relationships with brands that are the right fit for Pepper’s values and ambitions.

You’ll also work across a varied mix of social media services, from influencer and creator partnerships to paid media, organic strategy, research and creative production.

Longer term, this role has the potential to grow into a wider leadership position across new business and growth as the agency continues to scale.
