Territory Manager (Central England) | Toys & Games | Permanent Are you a commercially minded Territory Manager who enjoys building relationships, growing accounts and winning new business across a varied retail patch? Read on if you’re looking for a field-based role with autonomy, visibility and plenty of scope to make an impact.
With a strong heritage and a portfolio of much-loved licensed products, they supply a diverse customer base across independent retailers, garden centres and visitor attractions. Known for their collaborative culture and focus on employee development, they are continuing to invest in their field sales team to support ambitious growth plans and have several openings available.
Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts across a designated area, building strong and trusted customer relationships. Identify, approach and win new retail accounts, with a clear focus on business development and sustainable growth. Maintain accurate sales reporting, route planning and territory analysis, while representing the business at trade shows and internal meetings.
This role would suit a self-motivated, well-organised field sales professional who knows how to manage an area, balance account development with new business activity, and build credibility with a wide range of retail customers. You’ll need to be comfortable working independently, using data to guide decisions, and collaborating with colleagues across sales, marketing, operations and customer support.
Experience in a multi-channel retail sales environment. A track record of growing existing accounts and developing new business. Strong communication skills across face-to-face, telephone and email contact. Good commercial awareness, including sales analysis, reporting and negotiation. Strong organisational skills, including route planning, appointment setting and territory management. A full clean driving licence and willingness to travel regularly, including occasional overnight stays. Experience working across multiple and varied data sources. Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams in a fast-moving commercial environment.
There’s a solid existing account base to build from, but also plenty of room to bring energy to new business. It should appeal to a sales professional who likes variety, values autonomy and wants to be part of a growing business with a broad customer base and a collaborative internal culture.
