Delegate Sales Manager | Financial Services Events Hybrid working – 3 days a week£55k basic – £90-100k Uncapped OTE
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced sales leader to join a globally recognised events organisation , delivering high-quality, insight-led conferences within the financial services sector. This role offers the chance to combine strategic leadership with hands-on commercial responsibility , within a high-performing and collaborative environment.
The Role You will take ownership of a well-established and successful event portfolio, leading a team while maintaining personal revenue responsibility. Lead, coach, and develop a team of 5 (with scope for growth) Manage a portfolio of 3–5 events annually across Europe and the US Operate in a player-manager capacity (approximately 60% leadership / 40% personal sales) Oversee both established flagship events and new product launches This role requires a leader who can drive performance, set standards, and contribute commercially .
The Market Financial services (middle & back office / capital markets focus) Large-scale, high-value conferences (up to ~900 attendees) Diverse stakeholder engagement across delegates, sponsors, and solution providers Success in this role will require the ability to understand and engage with complex subject matter , contributing to the ongoing growth of the event portfolio.
Candidate Profile Background in delegate sales, event sales, or broader commercial sales environments Demonstrated experience in a leadership or player-manager role Strong commercial acumen with a structured and organised approach Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver against targets Interest in financial services or relevant sector exposure is advantageous
