An established, international business operating within the advanced materials and speciality distribution sector is seeking a Commercial Manager to drive performance and growth across its UK commercial function.
This is a senior leadership opportunity within a technically focused, solutions-led environment. The role combines strategic direction with hands-on commercial leadership and offers the chance to shape growth within a high-value, specialist market.
The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you will take responsibility for leading a commercial team, delivering financial targets, and driving sustainable business growth.
You will play a key role in developing and executing commercial strategy, strengthening customer relationships, identifying new market opportunities, and ensuring the team is aligned to wider business objectives.
The position is primarily office-based in Surrey, with regular UK travel and occasional international travel as required.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement commercial strategies to deliver revenue and margin growth Lead, coach and develop a high-performing commercial team Drive new business and pipeline development Build and maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships Monitor performance metrics and ensure delivery against targets Analyse market trends and identify growth opportunities Collaborate cross-functionally with technical, product and marketing teams Prepare forecasts, budgets and performance reports Represent the business at industry and networking events
About You
Strong commercial experience within a technical or industrial sector Proven track record of delivering sales growth Experience managing and developing sales teams Strong commercial acumen with confidence analysing data and performance metrics Strategic mindset with a proactive, solutions-focused approach Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Comfortable working in a structured, performance-driven environment
