Construction Resources is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing surfacing contractor for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their operational team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated HSEQ professional with experience in construction, civils, or surfacing environments who is looking to play a key role in driving safety standards and supporting operational delivery across multiple projects.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing company-wide health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with current legislation and promoting a positive safety culture throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain health & safety systems across multiple sites
  • Ensure compliance with current legislation and industry standards
  • Carry out site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Deliver toolbox talks, training, and safety briefings
  • Support operational teams and management across projects
  • Promote continuous improvement and a proactive safety culture

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience within a Health & Safety management role
  • Strong understanding of construction, civils, or surfacing industry standards
  • Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH and/or IOSH
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Professional, proactive, and organised approach
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
