The Opportunity
An established and well-regarded law firm in Chelmsford is seeking a motivated and client-focused Private Client Solicitor to join its growing team. Applications are welcomed from Newly Qualified Solicitors through to more senior Private Client Solicitors with substantial experience.

The Role
The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of private client matters, with supervision and support available for junior candidates. More senior applicants will also have the opportunity to assist with business development, mentoring, and department growth.
The caseload may include:
- Drafting Wills and advising on estate planning
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Probate and estate administration
- Trust creation and administration
- Inheritance Tax planning
- Court of Protection matters
- Advising high-net-worth and elderly clients where appropriate
Candidate Requirements
Newly Qualified Solicitors
- Qualified Solicitor or due to qualify shortly
- Previous private client seat during training contract preferred
- Strong communication and client care skills
- Eagerness to develop within private client law
- STEP qualification or interest in undertaking STEP advantageous
Mid-Level / Senior Solicitors
- Experience handling a broad private client caseload independently
- Strong technical knowledge of private client matters
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Business development and networking skills advantageous
- Experience supervising junior team members beneficial
