People & Compliance Assistant

About the Role
We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-driven People & Compliance Assistant to support the smooth operation of our HR function at LDG.
This is a broad, hands-on role spanning the full employee lifecycle — from recruitment and onboarding through to employee relations, compliance, and reporting. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our HR processes run efficiently, data is accurate, and our practices remain compliant with employment law, GDPR, and Health & Safety standards.
Working closely with the People Advisor and wider People team, you’ll also help deliver meaningful insights (MI) to support business decisions and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR administrative support across recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle processes
- Support employee relations activity, including investigations, note-taking, and case documentation
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with internal processes and legal requirements
- Assist with internal audits of HR systems, processes, and data quality
- Support training programmes, track compliance, and coordinate learning activities
- Contribute to performance review and 1-2-1 processes, ensuring accurate tracking and follow-through
- Provide administrative support across HR systems (including Employment Hero) and reporting
- Assist with Health & Safety compliance processes and documentation
- Ensure continuity of service by supporting wider team activities when required
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Knowledge
- Experience in an administrative role (ideally within HR or a related field)
- Understanding of HR processes and employee relations
- Awareness of employment law, ACAS guidelines, GDPR, and compliance best practices
- Exposure to HR systems and data/reporting is advantageous
Skills & Attributes
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confident handling sensitive and confidential information
- Strong analytical skills – able to interpret data and identify trends
- Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
Desirable Qualifications
- CIPD Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Ongoing professional development
- Full UK driving licence and own transport
