DevOps Engineer | Remote | Public Sector Consultancy
Salary: Up to £45,000
Location: UK Remote (occasional travel to Midlands)
Security: Must be eligible for SC clearance
We’re working with a growing consultancy client delivering critical technology solutions across public sector environments. This is an opportunity to work on high-impact systems that require stability, security, and strong engineering capability. We’re looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer who is confident working across cloud, CI/CD, and live production environments, with responsibility for deployments, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
The role
- Support and maintain live production environments
- Work across AWS or Azure cloud platforms
- Manage and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
- Troubleshoot application and SQL Server issues in production
- Monitor system performance and respond to incidents
- Collaborate with engineering teams and client stakeholders
Key skills
- Experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering or Application Support
- AWS or Azure experience
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- SQL Server troubleshooting
- Linux and strong analytical skills
- Understanding of APIs and .NET environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder skills
