We are exclusively supporting this prestigious global law firm as they recruit for a Senior Communications Advisor. Working closely with the Comms Lead, this position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the firm’s corporate reputation through strategic media engagement, handle crises scenarios, and proactively execute profile raising campaigns to shape the firm’s global reputation.

Proven experience of media relations, strategic comms and crisis management is imperative – either in a global, complex professional services environment, or within a global advisory or strategic comms consultancy.

Responsibilities

  • Advise teams on media relations, enquiries, and reputational risk management.
  • Lead global media campaigns to enhance brand visibility across jurisdictions.
  • Manage crisis and reputational communications, coordinating timely responses.
  • Oversee corporate reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and brand consistency.
  • Draft press releases, external statements, and regulatory communications.
  • Monitor international media coverage, identifying risks and opportunities for senior leadership.
  • Develop media and crisis communication policies, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Maintain relationships with journalists, agencies, and key stakeholders.
  • Identify improvements and lead initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of the corporate relations function.

Experience required

  • Extensive experience in media relations, crisis management, or corporate reporting within international, complex, or regulated environments.
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive media issues and deliver high-quality communications.
  • Experience working across multinational teams and advising senior stakeholders.
  • Skilled in handling press enquiries and delivering strategic crisis responses.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
  • Strategic and analytical, with strong attention to detail and operational effectiveness.
  • Proficient in digital monitoring and analytics tools.
  • Culturally aware, proactive, organised and collaborative, with a focus on continuous improvement.
