We are seeking a UK REGO Broker to join our Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin desk based in our Canary Wharf office. This is an exciting, dynamic opportunity to be part of a growing team developing this emerging product area and helping to shape activity in the UK renewable certificates market.

As the market for renewable energy certificates continues to expand, this role offers the chance to work at the forefront of the UK’s energy transition while helping to build liquidity in a niche and rapidly evolving market.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in broking transactions in UK Power REGOs (Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin)
- Develop and maintain relationships with market participants including utilities, renewable generators, energy suppliers and traders
- Source and match buyers and sellers to facilitate transactions and market liquidity
- Monitor market activity, pricing trends and supply/demand dynamics within the REGO market
- Provide clients with timely market intelligence and pricing updates
- Support the development and growth of the REGO desk and wider environmental products offering
- Maintain accurate records of trades, client interactions and market information
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution and settlement of transactions
Personal Attributes
- 2–3 years’ experience within energy markets, environmental commodities, broking, trading or a related financial markets role
- An existing network of market participants and industry contacts within the energy, utilities, trading or renewable sector
- Strong interest and knowledge in energy markets, environmental commodities or renewable certificates
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly motivated, proactive and keen to develop within a growing environmental commodities market
- Commercial mindset with strong motivation to succeed in a fast-paced broking environment
The role holder is expected to demonstrate the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and regulatory awareness at all times.
The individual will operate in full alignment with all relevant regulatory obligations, internal compliance frameworks, and desk‑level procedures. This includes maintaining a strong understanding of applicable rules, adhering to internal policies, and ensuring all activities are conducted in a controlled, transparent, and compliant manner.
Holding relevant certifications are considered advantageous.
