YMCA Cornwall is seeking a dynamic and experienced Managing Director to lead our organisation in delivering essential services to young people age 16-24 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
You will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and strategic direction of the organisation, particularly in relation to housing for young people. You will work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure that YMCA Cornwall achieves its goals, maintains high standards, and operates efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic LeadershipDevelop and implement a clear vision for YMCA Cornwall, aligning with our mission and values.
Operational and Service ManagementOversee the day-to-day operations of the organisation, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services, particularly those relating to the housing function which is the key element within our service provision.
Financial LeadershipManage the organisation’s finances responsibly, ensuring sustainability and growth.
Community EngagementBuild strong relationships with local partners, funders, and stakeholders.
People, Leadership and CultureInspire and motivate a dedicated team to achieve organisational goals in line with YMCA values.
