Role
Our Strategic Advisory team partners with public sector infrastructure clients to navigate complexity, solve problems and define strategies, leveraging deep domain knowledge across AtkinsRéalis. In this role you will help grow our strategic advisory services for transportation market clients across the UK & Ireland. You will lead collaborative work with our Transportation markets, practices, partners and other divisions to build relationships, credibility and revenue.
- Work with Strategic Advisory Directors and Market leadership teams to identify opportunities and build relationships with clients in Rail, Strategic Roads, Devolved Administrations, DfT, Local Government and Mayoral Strategic Authorities.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior UK clients, establishing trust and credibility.
- Collaborate with practice teams to identify appropriate resources for strategic advisory projects.
- Lead small and medium sized bids as Bid Director: determine partnering needs, develop win themes, write responses and produce commercial models; support Directors on larger, more complex bids.
- Lead small or medium sized strategic advisory projects as Project Director: manage client relationships, lead the team and ensure the project meets its targets; support Directors on larger, more complex projects.
- Provide thought leadership and influence to inform policy decisions of government and public sector clients.
About you
- Experienced in shaping and growing strategic advisory services.
- Proven track record of managing relationships and influencing at the C‑Suite level with UK public sector clients.
- Strong background delivering strategic advice to infrastructure clients, including solving complex problems, developing investment strategies and crafting compelling narratives for stakeholders.
- Experience working with strategic partners such as Big 4 accountancy firms, SMEs and strategy houses to achieve client outcomes.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic solutions.
- Track record of developing thought leadership that influences UK policy.
- Skilled in working with clients in uncertain environments, shaping decisions and achieving key outcomes (e.g., client satisfaction, budget, safety).
- Experience leading projects to meet objectives relating to safety, wellbeing, revenue and margin.
