About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Data Rights Manager to lead Bright Horizons’ global Data Subject Rights (DSR) programme. You’ll ensure personal data is handled responsibly, within legal requirements, and through scalable, efficient processes across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage global DSR operations, including policies, processes, and workflows
- Oversee high-volume and complex DSARs across jurisdictions
- Ensure compliance with UK, EU, US and other privacy regulations
- Review high-risk cases and manage escalations
- Coordinate data retrieval across systems and maintain audit trails
- Manage vendors and support third-party data requests (e.g. law enforcement)
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and use of tools (e.g. OneTrust)
- Partner with Legal, HR, IT, Security, and Operations
- Lead and develop a high-performing DSR team
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years’ experience in data rights / DSAR management
- Strong knowledge of global privacy laws (UK, EU, US)
- Experience handling complex, high-volume requests
- Skilled in applying exemptions and managing risk
- Experience with case management tools (e.g. OneTrust)
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a global, matrix environment
Highly Desirable: Privacy certification (CIPP/E, CIPM, etc.), legal/compliance background
A DBS is required for this role.
