Head of Engineering — Hands-On Leader, JS/Cloud Native

hedgehog lab is looking for a Head of Engineering based in Newcastle upon Tyne. This full-time role offers a day rate contract with the potential to transition into a permanent position. You will lead a small engineering team while maintaining hands-on involvement.

The role requires strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of JavaScript and Node.js, and the ability to drive accountability within the team. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to shape engineering standards and influence the direction of the engineering function.
