BI Developer – Contract – SQL/dbt/Power BI – Outside IR35 – 3 months (initial)
La Fosse are partnered with a highly recognised consumer brand, who urgently require a BI Developer / SQL Data Engineer (contractor) to join their global data function, which supports key strategic projects across the organisation.
The core focus of this role includes partnering with business stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytics needs, building data models, dashboards, and visual outputs, and providing ongoing support for the production data environment.
You’ll bring strong, proven experience in data warehpousing, data modelling and reports/dashboard development and in the key technologies used within modern data teams. You’ll need to be comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities, and you can adapt your approach as requirements evolve.
Key Responsibilities / Required experience:
- Designing and delivering reports, dashboards, and visual analytics using Power BI.
- Demonstarte deep working knowledge of modern cloud native data tech such as Snowflake and DBT cloud
- Developing data models within both the semantic/gold layer of an analytics warehouse and directly in Power BI.
- SQL & Databases: Demonstrating excellent proficiency in SQL, data warehousing principles, and database management.
- Responding promptly to BI-related incidents, support requests, and enhancement needs.
- ETL Processes: Applying knowledge of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tools and methods (e.g., SSIS, DBT cloud).
Candidate must be available to start a new role within 2 weeks and able to travel to Manchester twice per calender month.
