Senior Azure Cloud Engineer
We’re looking for a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer highly disciplined in Microsoft Azure standards, who thrives on solving complex challenges, driving innovation and delivering secure, scalable solutions that power business transformation.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver reliability: Build and execute strategies for high availability and resilience across our digital portfolio.
- Lead SRE practices: Drive measurable improvements in reliability through metrics and automation.
- Architect cloud‑native solutions: Create scalable, maintainable applications aligned with the Azure Well‑Architected Framework.
- Automate everything: Use Terraform, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and operations.
- Champion DevSecOps: Embed security and compliance into every layer of our cloud ecosystem.
- Innovate and experiment: Conduct proof‑of‑concepts and integrate emerging technologies.
- Collaborate and influence: Work with architecture teams, advise on sequencing, and ensure optimal delivery.
- Monitor and optimise: Troubleshoot production issues, enhance performance, and maintain 24×7 availability.
Qualifications
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and native tools (ARM Templates, Terraform).
- Strong experience with Azure services: AKS, SQL Server, Cosmos DB, EventHub, App Service, Function Apps, Blob Storage, DNS, Virtual Networks, Service Bus, Site Recovery.
- Proficiency in automation and configuration management (Azure DevOps, Azure Automation, Azure Policy).
- Solid understanding of hybrid cloud models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and virtualization.
- Hands‑on experience with Linux OS.
- A passion for continuous improvement, innovation, and delivering exceptional stakeholder experiences.
