Full-Stack Engineer (Founding Team) – London

We’re hiring a hands‑on Full-Stack Engineer to take a live MVP already in customer hands and evolve it into a robust, market‑ready product. This is not a greenfield build, and not a big‑team scale role. It’s the 0 → 1.5 phase—where the product works, but now needs to be completed, stabilised, and scaled for real customer adoption and revenue.
We’re flexible on engagement type—open to both contract and permanent candidates, depending on what works best for the right person.
The Setup
You’ll work closely with:
- A Founder with a clear commercial vision
- A Founding Product Partner leading product development
- A Sector Expert defining product direction
This is a product‑led environment—you’ll take clear direction and translate it into high‑quality, production‑ready features, while applying your own technical judgement to ensure the product holds up under real usage.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Turning an MVP into a fully functioning, market‑ready platform
- Building and refining core customer journeys and workflows
- Implementing key commercial features (billing, reporting, access control)
- Taking features from partial / placeholder → production‑ready
- Strengthening the system to support:
- Growing user adoption
- Multi‑tenant use cases
- Reliability and performance at scale
- Working directly with the Founder—explaining trade‑offs and timelines clearly
- Delivering in a way that avoids over‑promising and under‑delivering
Key Focus (Next 3–6 Months)
- Evolving the MVP into a robust, scalable, market‑ready product
- Billing infrastructure
- Reporting capabilities
- Supporting live pilots and iterating quickly on roadmap features
What We’re Looking For
- Strong full‑stack experience in startup or product‑led environments
- Experience working on live products with real users and deadlines
- Track record of taking products from MVP → production‑ready systems
- Comfortable operating in a 0 → 1.5 environment
Tech‑wise, you likely have:
- Deep experience with React + TypeScript (7+ years)
- Strong full‑stack capability (frontend + backend + data)
- Solid SQL and data modelling instincts
- Experience with APIs, OAuth integrations, and data‑heavy UIs

- You ship – and see things through to production
- You’re comfortable with ambiguity but disciplined on delivery
- You can communicate clearly with non‑technical stakeholders
- You understand that in a live product, delivery = credibility
