Job Description:

We are seeking a driven and commercially minded Technology Investment Banking Associate to join our London team. This is an opportunity to work on high-profile M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory transactions across the technology sector, including software, fintech, digital infrastructure, internet, IT services, and emerging technology businesses.

You will play a key role in transaction execution, financial analysis, client materials, and deal process management, working closely with senior bankers, clients, investors, and other advisers.

Key responsibilities

As a Technology Investment Banking Associate, you will:

  • Support the execution of M&A, equity financing, debt financing, and strategic advisory mandates.
  • Build and review detailed financial models, valuation analyses, comparable company analyses, precedent transaction analyses, and returns models.
  • Prepare high-quality client presentations, information memoranda, management presentations, buyer/investor materials, and board papers.
  • Conduct market, sector, and company research across technology subsectors.
  • Manage key workstreams across live transactions, including due diligence, buyer/investor outreach, data room processes, and transaction documentation.
  • Coordinate with clients, legal advisers, accountants, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Mentor and review the work of analysts, helping to ensure accuracy, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Support senior bankers with origination initiatives, sector mapping, pitch preparation, and client development.

Candidate profile

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Prior experience in investment banking, corporate finance, transaction services, private equity, or a closely related financial advisory role.
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Experience working on M&A or capital markets transactions.
  • A strong interest in the technology sector and the ability to understand business models, market dynamics, and growth drivers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • A collaborative, proactive, and professional approach.
  • Confidence working directly with clients and senior stakeholders.

Technology sector experience is preferred, but candidates with strong transaction execution experience and a clear interest in technology will also be considered.
