Roles & Responsibilities (Duties)

Develop and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to the needs of children aged 0-5 years.

  • Safely open and close the nursery building, on a shift pattern
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and learning
  • Manage daily activities and routines while ensuring the well‑being of all children in your care
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and promote a collaborative atmosphere
  • Observe and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to parents and adapting learning strategies as necessary
  • Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in childcare and early years education
  • Collaborate with other educators to create a cohesive learning experience across the nursery

Qualifications

  • A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential
  • Proven experience working with young children in a nursery or educational setting is highly desirable
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • A genuine passion for childcare and early years education, with the drive to inspire young learners
  • Knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early years education
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative
