Staff Nurse – Craven Children’s Learning Disabilities Team

Band 5 Children’s Learning Disability Nurse role joining a specialist team to support children and young people in Craven with learning disabilities. The post-holder will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care, promoting independence, inclusion, and improved health outcomes for children and their families.

Main duties

  • Provide high‑quality person‑centred care for children with learning disabilities.
  • Plan, implement and review evidence‑based care, interventions and health promotion specific to the needs of children with learning disabilities.
  • Work in partnership with other agencies to provide seamless, flexible services across a range of community settings.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Registered nurse, Learning Disability Nurse.
  • NMC registration.

Experience

  • At least 2 years working with children and young people with learning disabilities.
  • Experience working in the community.
  • Previous safeguarding experience.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and requires a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

£32,073 to £39,043 a year (pro‑rated).
