Role Overview and Purpose
We are seeking a visionary Senior Creative 3D Designer to join our dynamic team. This is a pivotal role designed for a high-calibre creative who can blend technical mastery with conceptual brilliance. You will be responsible for leading the design and production of sophisticated 3D visualisations, from initial mood-boarding to final high-fidelity renders. Your purpose is to elevate our creative output, ensuring our 3D environments and assets are evocative, technically sound, and aligned with our clients’ strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptual Development: Lead the brainstorming and conceptualisation phases, translating complex briefs into stunning visual narratives and world-class 3D designs.
- Execution & Production: Create high-end 3D models, textures, and environments, with a meticulous focus on lighting, composition, and material realism.
- Creative Leadership: Provide artistic direction across multiple projects, ensuring visual consistency and a high standard of aesthetic quality throughout the studio.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Creative Directors, Project Managers, and Developers to ensure that designs are both visually spectacular and technically optimised for their intended platform.
- Mentorship: Support the professional development of junior and mid-weight designers through constructive feedback, technical guidance, and lead-by-example creative excellence.
- Innovation: Stay at the cutting edge of industry trends, exploring new software, workflows, and techniques to keep our organisation ahead of the curve.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 4+ years of professional experience within a creative agency or high-end production studio, with a portfolio showcasing exceptional 3D work. (Architecture / Interiors / Events / Exhibitions / Retail / Activations)
- Software Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of industry-standard software, specifically Cinema 4D, 3ds Max, or Maya, alongside rendering engines such as Redshift, Octane, or Arnold.
- Design Fundamentals: A profound understanding of colour theory, typography, layout, and spatial design within 3D environments.
- Technical Expertise: Skilled in advanced polygonal modelling, UV unwrapping, and the creation of bespoke procedural materials.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate creative decisions to stakeholders and clients with clarity and passion.
- Organisation: Exceptional time management skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Graphic Design, 3D Design, Fine Arts, or a related discipline is preferred.
