Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Recruit4Staff are pleased to be representing their client, a leading food production company in their search for a Maintenance Engineer to work in their leading facility in Smethwick.

• The company operates between 6am-7pm and you will be working a flexible 8 hour shift Monday to Friday depending on business needs
• Permanent position
• 20 days holiday + bank holidays
• Days only, no shift work involved

The Role of the Maintenance Engineer

• Support and carry out any maintenance duties on site as directed
• Support site planned maintenance inspections
• Support all reasonable repairs on site equipment
• Support any equipment breakdown needs in order to reduce production down time
• Carry out any other duties as and when required
• Responsible for weekly strip and clean-down of production equipment
• Planned preventative maintenance
• Liaising with the Production team

Qualifications and Experience

• Must be able to demonstrate strong Mechanical based skills / knowledge
• Ideally coming from a Food Production background – Highly advantageous
• Proven experience of working with Steam Generators, Compressed Air and Electrics
• Proven experience within a Maintenance role
• Ideally hold mechanical related qualifications
