BMS Commissioning Engineer | Essex / London | Full Time, 42.5 hours per week | Up to £450 per day (DOE)

Our client, a Building Management System (BMS) specialist, is currently seeking a BMS Commissioning Engineer to join their team. With a strong reputation in the industry, they deliver high-quality BMS solutions across a range of complex and high-spec environments, including data centre projects.

This is an opportunity to work on technically engaging projects that go beyond the typical day-to-day commissioning role, offering exposure to more advanced systems and long-term development.

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Experience with BMS / HVAC systems and control routines
  • Experience with Tridium Niagara N4
  • Ability to read and interpret control panel wiring schematics and technical documentation
  • Familiarity with integration protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, or MBus
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail
  • BCIA training (e.g. BCM modules)
  • ECS / CSCS cards
  • Basic IT / networking knowledge

We are open to:

  • Junior to mid-level engineers (25 years experience) salary reflective of experience, with support and development available
  • Experienced engineers with the opportunity to gain exposure to more technically advanced and interesting project work

What will your role look like?

  • Commission BMS systems and carry out software and graphics modifications
  • Conduct functional system checks and point-to-point testing
  • Support client demonstrations, training, and project handovers
  • Maintain accurate commissioning documentation, including test sheets and snag lists
  • Ensure Health & Safety compliance at all times
  • Work closely with Project Managers and technical teams to deliver projects successfully
