Drainage Engineer – Bromley

• Location: Bromley
• Salary: £37,220 – £41,810 (depending on experience) + £1,500 guaranteed bonus in your first year
• Hours: You will average 40 hours per week (including evenings, weekends and bank holidays)

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Drainage Engineer, you’ll be working in customers’ homes diagnosing and resolving drainage issues.

Your Day-to-day Will Include

• Clearing blockages using high‑pressure water jetting (HPWJ) equipment
• Investigating drainage problems and identifying root causes
• Carrying out repairs to domestic drainage systems
• Managing jobs independently while delivering excellent customer service
• Representing HomeServe in customers’ homes with professionalism and care

This is a field‑based role where no two days are the same, giving you variety and autonomy in your work.

What We’re Looking For

• HPWJ (High Pressure Water Jetting) ticket
• Experience working in drainage
• Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and solve problems on site
• A positive, proactive approach to your work

Training and Support

• Week 1: Classroom‑based induction Monday to Friday at our Walsall Head Office
• Week 2: On‑the‑job training alongside an experienced HomeServe Drainage Engineer

(Where required, we will pay for your accommodation and meal allowance for your induction).
