As the Electrical Supervisor at Celestra, you’ll be responsible for the electrical compliance and high‑quality standards of work within the field operations in line with 18th Edition regulations. Working closely with the Project teams and the Health and Safety Advisor, you will anticipate workflow and align your schedule to meet the demand of future projects.
This is a varied role where you’ll ensure safety remains at the heart of everything we do.
What You’ll Do
- Gain and retain accreditation as Qualified Supervisor with approved body (NICEIC)
- Check and authorise all NICEIC certification within the field.
- Ensure that all works are fully compliant with current regulations.
- Register / log all notifiable works with the NICEIC and/or building control.
- Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety policies.
- Ensure competence of all electricians.
- Have full knowledge of each contract’s electrical specification.
- Carry out work‑in‑progress and post‑inspection audits of all site works.
- Monitor and maintain each contract’s PAT testing.
- Monitor and maintain calibration of in‑house electrical test equipment.
- Liaise with the client on any future works outside of the “normal” contract specifications and offer technical support where required.
- Ensure that relevant Task Specific Risk Assessments are available for tasks such as Work at Height, Electrical, Asbestos, COSHH and Manual Handling.
What You’ll Bring
- 18th Edition
- 2391 Inspection & Testing (Level 3)
- 2360 Electrical Installation (Level 3)
- 2330 Electrotechnical Technology (Level 3)
- Proven knowledge of installing data networks including CAT5e, CAT6 and Fibre
- 5+ consecutive years supervisory or managerial responsibility for the standard of electrical installation work
- An understanding of the Electricity at Work Regulations, current edition of BS 7671, and the Codes of Practice and guidance documents relevant to the range of electrical work undertaken
- An understanding of the inspection, testing, verification, certification, and reporting procedures for the range of electrical work undertaken
- A full, clean driving licence is essential as a substantial amount of travel throughout the UK will be required
- High level of communication, demonstrating customer care and sensitivity
- Working knowledge and compliance with health and safety requirement
- Work as a team member and comply with set objectives
- Must possess relevant recognised electrical qualification as required by NICEIC for Electrical Qualified Supervisor e.g. 18th Edition
- Good interpersonal and communication skills including well developed written and presentation skills
- Ability to work with current IT software including MS Office Word, Excel
