The opportunity:
You will join a team supporting the delivery and evolution of a proven land-based air defence system, with responsibility for ensuring requirements are captured, defined, and delivered across a diverse portfolio. Current programmes include supporting UK capability, fulfilling export contracts, and tailoring solutions for new customers.
What you will do:
- Work directly with customers to understand and capture their needs
- Derive system, subsystem, and software requirements to meet operational objectives
- Inform product line approaches, enabling a common suite of solutions across multiple programmes
- Manage engineering change in a controlled and transparent way
- Act as the customer voice for specific software items, ensuring alignment throughout the lifecycle
Skills and experience:
- Requirements management and derivation experience, ideally within defence
- Familiarity with system engineering tools (e.g. DOORS, DOORS NG, Rhapsody)
- Strong ability to present and communicate technical information clearly to stakeholders
- Experience in engineering change control and management
- Background in developing complex systems, with trade studies and system development activities
- Stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across multiple levels
- Experience of working with product lines is advantageous
Salary and working model:
- Up to £57,000 depending on experience
- Typically 3 days per week on-site in the UK
