Warehouse Operations Manager
Location: Magna Park, Lutterworth (initially based from Birmingham office)
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 DOE
Job Type: Full Time / Permanent
IRS Group are recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager on behalf of a growing logistics and distribution operation preparing to launch a new site at Magna Park, Lutterworth.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a business during a major growth phase and play a key role in setting up and driving warehouse operations from the early stages of the site launch.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day warehouse activities, supporting operational performance, managing teams, and ensuring the site operates efficiently, safely and in line with customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee warehouse operations including goods-in, dispatch and general logistics activity
- Manage and support warehouse teams across multiple shift patterns
- Drive productivity, operational performance and service levels
- Monitor KPIs and identify areas for continuous improvement
- Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed across the operation
- Support staffing, training and performance management
- Work closely with senior management to support growth plans and operational targets
- Maintain stock accuracy and operational efficiency
- Support process improvements and warehouse organisation
Requirements
- Previous warehouse operations management experience within logistics/distribution
- Experience managing teams within fast‑paced warehouse environments
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Good understanding of warehouse KPIs and operational performance
- Ability to work within a growing and changing environment
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
- WMS experience beneficial
- Health & Safety awareness essential
