Role Description

The Dorset Co-ordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Christchurch. The role involves coordinating mentoring services for ex‑offenders, managing volunteers, and collaborating with partner agencies to provide effective support. Responsibilities include overseeing casework management, ensuring service delivery aligns with organisational values, and developing innovative solutions to address client needs. The Dorset Co-ordinator will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and contributing to the development of new initiatives that align with the Footprints mission.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship‑building skills
  • Organisational and time‑management skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities
  • Knowledge of social services, criminal justice systems, or mentoring/casework is advantageous
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse communities and partner organisations
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks, including record‑keeping and report preparation
  • Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to supporting and empowering others
  • Relevant qualifications in social work, community work, or related fields are a plus
