Salary: £19.75 per hour – £70.50 sleep in rate

Deputy Children’s Home Manager – Full Time – On Site

Hours: 40 hours per week | On-site | Sleep-ins (average 1-2 per week)

Pay rate: Hourly rate of £19.75 and sleep-in rate paid at £70.50 per night

We are looking for caring and committed Deputy Managers to join our team in Silver Birch Care (Residential Services). This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people in a safe, stable, and nurturing home environment where they can grow, develop, and achieve positive outcomes.

About the Role

As a Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to support the day‑to‑day running of the home.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and supervising staff teams
  • Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards
  • Promoting a safe, structured, and child‑focused environment
  • Contributing to care planning and development of young people
  • Deputising in the absence of the Registered Manager

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential childcare
  • At least 1 year of experience supervising staff
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding
  • Level 3 in Residential Childcare (required)
  • Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or willingness to work towards)
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
