Investment Strategy Lead

Manchester HQ / Hybrid Working

About the Role

We are looking for a commercially minded and highly organised Investment Strategy Lead to support strategic growth, investment planning and executive decision-making across Outcomes First Group.

This is a high-impact role sitting at the centre of strategic projects and investment activity, working closely with senior leaders to shape, coordinate and deliver investment cases for review by the Investment Committee.

You will act as the central point of coordination across multiple workstreams — bringing together operational, financial and strategic inputs to produce clear, commercially robust and decision-ready business cases.

This role would suit someone from a strategy, transformation, investment, PMO, consulting, commercial finance or operational planning background who enjoys turning complex information into clear recommendations and actionable plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end coordination and production of investment and strategic business cases
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Estates, Education, Legal and Commercial teams
  • Translate operational, financial and strategic information into clear, concise executive-level papers
  • Manage multiple investment and growth projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and governance requirements are met
  • Prepare high-quality materials for Investment Committee and senior leadership review
  • Maintain consistency across investment frameworks, templates and governance processes
  • Challenge assumptions, identify gaps and improve the quality and clarity of submissions
  • Track investment pipelines, approvals, actions and dependencies across live projects
  • Support strategic growth initiatives, operational investment planning and capital allocation activity

About You

You are likely to come from a background in:

  • Corporate strategy
  • Commercial finance
  • Transformation or PMO
  • Consulting or advisory
  • Investment planning
  • Business case development
  • Operational strategy
  • Multi-site or regulated environments

You do not need to come from a traditional investment banking background.

More important is the ability to:

  • manage complex stakeholder groups,
  • coordinate multiple workstreams,
  • think commercially,
  • communicate clearly,
  • and produce high-quality executive outputs in a fast-paced environment.

Experience We’d Particularly Value

  • Experience within PE-backed, high-growth or operationally complex organisations
  • Exposure to governance forums, investment committees or executive-level reporting
  • Strong commercial and financial awareness
  • Experience working across multi-functional teams
  • Financial modelling or investment analysis exposure
  • Education, healthcare, care, retail, hospitality or infrastructure sector experience

Key Skills

  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organisational and project management capability
  • Commercial awareness and strategic thinking
  • Ability to influence and challenge constructively
  • High attention to detail
  • Comfortable operating in fast-moving environments with shifting priorities

Why Join OFG?

This is an opportunity to join a growing, ambitious organisation where investment and growth activity is central to our long-term strategy. You will work closely with senior leadership and play a visible role in shaping decisions that directly impact the future growth and operational success of the business.
