Software & Controls Manager

£75,000 plus annual bonus

Bristol area | Hybrid working

An established advanced engineering and manufacturing business is looking for a Software & Controls Manager to own how control systems and software are developed, delivered and improved across its product range.

This is a leadership role focused on end to end delivery within a complex manufacturing environment. You will shape the software roadmap, set standards, and ensure integrated control systems are delivered on time and to a high standard.

What you will be doing

• Owning delivery of software and controls across complex industrial systems
• Defining and driving the software roadmap
• Leading and developing a controls and software engineering team
• Ensuring alignment across projects, product development and global teams
• Driving improvements in tools, processes and delivery performance

What they are looking for

• Background in industrial automation, controls or manufacturing environments
• Strong PLC experience
• Experience leading teams and delivering engineering projects end to end
• Exposure to modern engineering tools such as CI/CD and version control
• Experience working on integrated systems or equipment
