A leading manufacturing organisation based in Leicestershire is currently recruiting for a Production Engineer to join its expanding engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to support production operations, drive process improvements, and contribute to ongoing manufacturing efficiency initiatives within a modern production environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with manufacturing, maintenance, and quality teams to optimise production processes, reduce downtime, and improve overall operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day production engineering activities across the manufacturing facility
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste
• Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions
• Assist with new product introduction and production line setup activities
• Analyse manufacturing data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Support lean manufacturing and cost reduction initiatives
• Work closely with maintenance teams to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability
• Create and maintain production documentation, SOPs, and technical reports
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a Production Engineer role within a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement techniques
• Experience working within lean manufacturing environments
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical data
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• HNC/HND or degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline would be advantageous
