Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst within the Insurance sector to support change initiatives across General Insurance and/or the Lloyd’s market. The role focuses on Bordereaux and Control Managment, ensuring robust management controls, clear governance, and effective stakeholder engagement across business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements elicitation, documentation, validation and sign-off, translating business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Perform GAP Analysis of current versus target state processes, data and controls, producing actionable recommendations and prioritised backlogs.
  • Support Bordereaux-related change, including data quality, capture, validation, reconciliation, reporting and control frameworks.
  • Assess and enhance management control processes (Control Management), including control design, operation, evidence, and monitoring.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops, process mapping, and user story refinement with senior stakeholders, SMEs, and technical teams.
  • Define and document business processes, operating models, and (preferably) Business Process governence artefacts.
  • Support UAT planning and execution, including test scenarios, traceability, defect triage and stakeholder communications.
  • Produce high-quality documentation such as BRDs/FRDs, process flows, data mappings, control matrices, and RAID logs.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven Business Analyst experience within Insurance, with strong General Insurance or Lloyd’s knowledge.
  • Demonstrable experience with Bordereaux and related data/process controls.
  • Strong GAP Analysis capability and ability to define target-state solutions.
  • Senior stakeholder management experience, with confidence challenging and influencing at all levels.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex topics clearly.
  • Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.

Desirable

  • Exposure to Business Process governence, including standards, approvals, and continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Experience with operational risk, audit, or compliance-aligned control environments.

Working Arrangement

This role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to the London office (Liverpool Street area) as required for key workshops and stakeholder sessions.
