We’re now looking for a great General Manager to lead one of our Grandstand pubs – high‑energy, sports‑led venues built for atmosphere, great food and unforgettable moments.

A major investment is set to transform The Rushley in early 2027, introducing Marston’s Grandstand concept to the pub – a bold new sports‑led proposition built around big screens, standout viewing, great food and a welcoming community atmosphere. Designed so every big game feels special, while remaining a place where families and locals feel at home, this investment will elevate The Black Beauty into a true hub for the area.
With huge screens, top‑tier entertainment, great food & drink, and an unbeatable atmosphere, our Grandstand pubs are built for people who live and breathe live sport. From matchdays to live music and big sporting moments, Grandstand pubs are where local communities and fans come together, and where your next partnership could start.
Located in Mansfield, The Rushley currently trades at an average of £18,000 per week in net sales. This site benefits from the thriving local area and already boasts a strong community trade and a well‑established function business, with wakes & private bookings delivering strong room hire income and additional food & drink sales.
Grandstand pubs are high‑energy, sports‑driven community hubs created for big occasions, live sports and social experiences. With enhanced screens, sound and layouts, they deliver standout atmosphere from matchdays and live entertainment to relaxed, family‑friendly dining.

We’re looking for a commercially focused operator who can comfortably lead busy services, build energy through events and atmosphere, and deliver great guest experiences. Previous food experience is essential, with branded food experience a strong advantage.
