Location: London & South‑East (Three days office based, two days flexible)
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Overview
The SDBE Multi Academy Trust is a growing family of Church of England schools, rooted in strong values and a shared commitment to excellence. We currently serve 14 schools across London and the South‑East, supporting over 3,000 children and more than 500 staff, with additional schools planned for the future.
Following the launch of our new five‑year strategic plan, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Finance and Operations Officer to deliver on our ambitious goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop finance, estates, ICT, compliance and risk, procurement, and payroll functions, ensuring each is forward‑thinking, responsive and strategically aligned to the Trust’s mission.
- Shape the next stage of the finance function, creating collaborative hubs, embedding excellence, and fostering a culture of professional trust.
- Empower school leadership teams by providing thoughtful, well‑designed support that removes barriers and enables leaders to focus on teaching, learning and nurturing children.
- Build and manage high‑performing teams, driving operational efficiency and continual improvement across the Trust.
Qualifications
- Strong academy trust experience and a proven track record of leading impactful business operations.
- Demonstrated ability to build and nurture high‑performing teams.
- Dynamic, forward‑thinking approach to all areas of work, with a capacity to shape a continually learning and developing Trust.
