Job Purpose

To deliver professional property management services across a portfolio of commercial properties, including day-to-day management and coordination of insurance claims.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective property management services to clients.
  • Carry out regular property inspections and follow-up actions as required.
  • Prepare, manage and monitor service charge budgets and expenditure.
  • Liaise with facilities and accounts teams to ensure efficient building operations, credit control and service charge reconciliation in line with RICS guidance.
  • Build positive relationships with tenants, support lease renewals and maximise income.
  • Review properties and recommend improvements to enhance asset value. Interpret, advise on and enforce leases, licences and tenant applications.
  • Instruct and manage contractors, overseeing work and reporting progress.
  • Coordinate insurance claims with insurers, facilities managers and contractors.
  • Prepare client reports including inspections, arrears, income and quarterly updates.
  • Support statutory and compliance obligations across the portfolio.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, tenants and professional advisers.
  • Travel regularly to properties across the UK.
  • Undertake additional duties as required to ensure effective property management.

Person Specification

Skills & Experience

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to produce clear, concise reports.
  • Sound knowledge of property management, building construction, service charges and budgets.
  • Good understanding of landlord and tenant legislation, health, safety and environmental requirements.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience managing service charges and budgets.
  • Excellent time management, able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Self‑motivated, adaptable and effective both independently and within a team.
  • Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and TRAMPS.
  • Full clean driving licence.

Package: Up to £55,000 + benefits and bonuses
