Senior C# Developer

Hybrid Working – London – 2 days a week on site.

Lorien’s leading banking client is looking for a Senior C# Developer to join them, working on a critical, high volume, transactional system. Contribute to the re-architecture and modernisation of the platform.

This role is based in London.

This role will be Via Umbrella.

Working in a Hybrid Model of 2 day a week on site.

Main skills needed

• Delivers high quality code and system designs for the FX Deal Capture Platform
• Contributes to the re-architecture of the platform to meet business growth ambitions.
• Analysis of business and technical requirements
• Liaise with stakeholders, team members and other domain experts to capture and elaborate business requirements across domains / systems
• Accurate reporting to management regarding development initiatives and progress
• Follow‑up on production issues.
• Deliver high quality software. Ensure that the systems are designed for performance and reliability in production.
• Degree level qualification (ideally in Computing or Engineering)
• Excellent Software Engineering skills
• Strong programming background with a particular emphasis on C#, .NET Core
• additional knowledge of C++ would be beneficial
• Domain expertise in a volume transactional system (FX, Equities or other financial transactions)
• Experience of a working with a range of business and IT stakeholders
• Experience of working with offshore development teams
• Experience of business-critical system development, testing and support

Experience and knowledge of the following technologies

• Webservices
• XML
• FTML
• Database – Oracle/SQL
• IBM MQ
• Ability to liaise effectively with developers, business and other stakeholders
• Ability to work effectively as part of a formal project process.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills as well as reporting capabilities
• Business oriented, positive, resilient, full of stamina with a clear focus on results and deliveries
