SENDCo and Head of Additional Learning Support

We are seeking to appoint a SENDCo and Head of Additional Learning Support (a director-level position). This role will lead and manage the Additional Learning Support Department at BHASVIC and work with a highly experienced Curriculum and Quality Team responsible for SEND and inclusion within the curriculum. The successful candidate will teach a minimum of 8 contact hours per week.

Contract details

• Status: Permanent and full-time post, terms and conditions are the SFCA’s National Joint Council (NJC) Teaching Staff Terms and Conditions of Service Handbook.
• Teaching: You will teach a minimum of 8 contact hours per week.
• Salary: £64,404 per annum to £67,946 per annum upon experience (based on Teacher Pay Scale at Leadership Grade 1, Spine points 4 to 6). NB: The annual pay rise for academic year 2026/7 is pending.
• Pension: You will automatically become members of the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS) www.teacherspensions.co.uk.
