Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Financial Controller to lead our Finance Team within a growing international organisation. This key role focuses on strengthening financial operations, improving processes, and supporting informed decision‑making across the business.
The position is full‑time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based in our Lancaster office.
Responsibilities
- Oversee financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Strengthen internal controls and provide clear and accessible financial insight to colleagues at all levels.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
- Produce group and departmental reporting.
- Review and improve financial processes and support system development.
- Contribute to wider strategic planning to support international growth.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in financial management, accounting, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of UK accounting standards and financial compliance.
- Experience producing management accounts and leading financial operations.
- Confidence working with budgets, forecasts, and financial modelling.
- Experience improving financial processes or implementing new systems.
- A calm, structured approach to problem solving and decision making.
- Experience dealing with and reporting with multiple foreign currencies.
- Interest in how financial systems support organisational growth and long‑term sustainability.
- Experience dealing with non‑UK subsidiaries is beneficial, but not essential.
