The Opportunity

As a Motor Trade Executive, you will play a key role in driving growth across our Motor Trade Combined and Road Risk portfolios. You will focus on winning new business, managing client relationships, renewals, adjustments and handling complex risks within the motor trade sector.

This role is ideal for a self-motivated, commercially minded insurance professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys building strong relationships, and understands the nuances of motor trade insurance. You’ll contribute directly to revenue growth, deliver exceptional service, and help strengthen our market presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Business Development — Secure new Motor Trade accounts across combined and road risk sectors, providing accurate quotations via phone or face‑to‑face visits.
  • Client Relationship Management — Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with customers and insurers to ensure excellent renewal retention.
  • Operational Support — Assist with MTAs, administrative tasks, and customer service to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Cross‑Selling — Identify opportunities to introduce wider commercial insurance solutions to existing clients.
  • Data & Compliance — Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure all activity meets regulatory and internal standards.
  • Performance Delivery — Consistently achieve or exceed personal sales and retention targets while upholding exceptional service standards.

About You

  • Motor Trade Insurance Sales Experience — 1 year +in Motor Trade insurance sales with a strong conversion record across inbound and outbound activity.
  • Communication & Negotiation — Confident, articulate, and persuasive, with excellent presentation skills.
  • Target Driven — Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals while maintaining outstanding customer service.
  • Technical Competence — Comfortable analysing risk data, understanding underwriting appetite, and navigating CRM systems and insurer portals.
  • Flexible & Mobile — Able to travel to other offices or visit clients when required.
