Financial Controller

Financial Controller (38038) – Bridgwater, England

Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 per annum + Bonus, Pension, and benefits. Career progression to Finance Director.

We’re partnering with a niche and ambitious manufacturing business in Bridgwater that is looking to recruit an experienced Financial Controller who can play a pivotal role in driving financial performance and supporting strategic decision‑making. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation with a strong reputation for quality and innovation, where you’ll have real influence over financial operations, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate monthly management accounts within agreed deadlines.
• Deliver weekly and monthly financial performance reporting to senior management.
• Maintain full control of P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow reporting.
• Produce rolling financial forecasts and cashflow projections.
• Monitor company profitability by customer, project, and production area.
• Own and manage annual budgeting processes.
• Monitor BOM costing accuracy and inventory valuation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager.
• Strong manufacturing or engineering sector experience.
• Advanced budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong cashflow management experience.
• Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO‑regulated environments.
