Staff Nurse

Band 5

We are looking for a motivated, hard-working, and enthusiastic Registered Nurse with excellent values to work in our team.

There are vacancies on the Carleton Clinic site within our Flexipool Team situated in Cumbria.

You must have excellent communication skills, be reliable, punctual, and work well within a team, whilst being adaptable to changing situations. You will need to work calmly and efficiently, whilst remaining focused on providing a person‑centred approach to care and treatment.

Main duties of the job

As part of the multi-disciplinary team, you will provide high quality nursing care for patients across all inpatient areas on Carleton Clinic Site, including Working Age Adults, Older adults, functional, organic and learning disabilities. You will contribute to the assessment, care planning, review and discharge process and ensure patients receive high quality, evidence-based care. You will also contribute to daily ward activities and have opportunities to be involved in multiple care tasks.

You will have excellent learning and development opportunities and will be working with supportive and dynamic teams who strive to achieve the best possible outcomes for their patients.

Person specification

Education and Qualification

  • Therapy Based Training qualification
  • Qualification to Degree level
  • ENB 998 / P126/127 or equivalent.
  • Post registration clinical experience

Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience of working with service users with complex mental health/learning disability needs
  • Clinical Supervision
  • Mental Health/ Learning Disabilities needs
  • Care Co‑ordination
  • Safeguarding

Skills and Competencies

  • Good interpersonal and Communication skills
  • Collaborative working
  • Time Management
