Reports are written and work is presented at peer and design reviews. Processes for the team are developed and decisions influenced by providing technical advice. We remain current on trends and emerging technologies and tools and may provide training, coaching and advice to junior team members. Engineering packages may be estimated to identify dependencies and ensure deliverability of assigned work packages, including safety, environmental protection and compliance.
Typically, a Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in a related field and experience within a relevant complex engineering environment is required.
Security Clearance
This role requires SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held; otherwise the successful applicant will be required to undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance. For further guidance please visit the UKSV website.
To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the latest 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
Security Requirements
The role requires a baseline personnel security standard check (BPSS) as a minimum and, for some positions, further national security vetting checks. Candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years.
