Are you passionate about aerodynamic design and ready to make an impact at the forefront of Formula One innovation? We’re looking for a Design Engineer – Aerodynamics Surfacing to join our team and play a key role in developing high‑performance aerodynamic geometry for wind tunnel testing, CFD and race car application.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead aerodynamic design projects from concept through to release, including modelling, validation and documentation.
  • Develop high‑quality surface models for CFD and wind tunnel testing.
  • Ensure timely delivery of components for wind tunnel testing, collaborating with model shop and production teams.
  • Support and participate in wind tunnel testing activities and development programmes.
  • Continuously improve wind tunnel model quality, performance and testing efficiency.
  • Contribute to parametric modelling strategies and design methodologies.
  • Identify risks, opportunities and improvements, communicating progress to senior designers.
  • Collaborate closely with aerodynamicists and cross‑functional teams to enhance development strategies.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong CAD skills (preferably CATIA) and experience in surface modelling.
  • A solid understanding of composite design, materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of FEA, GD&T and engineering validation techniques.
  • Understanding of aerodynamic development, wind tunnel testing and CFD processes.
  • Familiarity with FIA technical regulations (desirable).
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver high‑quality work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • A proactive, adaptable mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
