Job Description
At AECOM, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Water Team in Scotland, contributing to the SR27 Enterprise program. This role involves designing electrical and ICA elements for wastewater and water infrastructure projects and supporting delivery of a multi‑billion‑pound programme.
Responsibilities
- Prepare feasibility studies, outline design, detailed design and construction support.
- Undertake the design and review of electrical and ICA elements in wastewater and water infrastructure/treatment projects, such as chemical dosing, pumping stations and sludge treatment units.
- Produce and review client deliverables, including calculations, drawings and technical reports to relevant standards and procedures.
- Liaise and collaborate with water and other discipline teams including civil, electrical, process and mechanical engineers nationwide.
- Visit site to conduct surveys and liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers.
- Attend and contribute to design review meetings such as HAZOPs, HAZIDs and SWIFTS.

Qualifications
- A degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
- Progress towards Chartered Engineer status with a relevant institution, such as IET.
- Ability to deliver engineering designs, reports, drawings, technical specifications and calculations with confidence and precision.
- Hands‑on experience delivering innovative solutions for water and wastewater engineering projects.
