Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with key product stakeholders to understand the overall process and the actions requiring automation.
• Design and implement performant, resilient automation to address the manual aspects of the process.
• Apply security by default, secrets management, least privilege, and vulnerability management.
• Monitor and improve process performance, optimizing to not only meet the objective but provide head room to cater for unknown scenarios.
• Automate both process and the testing of the automation to assure it works whenever it is required.

Essential Skills

• 3 years delivering Ansible‑based automation into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Go, Bash, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and be comfortable working in a multi‑cultural global environment.
• Working experience in Agile methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and within a diverse team environment.
• Strong documentation, collaboration, and ownership mindset.

Desirable Skills

• Experience of working with and improving IT Services underpinned by vendor software.
• Product domain experience in one or more of: File Transmission products (e.g., IBM SFGSSPSEASCD), Mainframe zOS and job execution workflows, BMC Control‑M.
• An understanding of financial services compliance and risk management requirements.
