Location: London

Role description and compensation: £44,142 per annum, which includes a London weight and a concessionary payment of £2,758. Depending on technical ability, you may also receive a skills payment ranging from £4,513 to £9,812 and a recruitment bonus of £2,000.

Flexible Working

The position is full‑time (36 hours per week) with flexibility around start and finish times within core working hours. Part‑time arrangements may be considered in exceptional circumstances. Hybrid working is offered, typically one day per week from home.

The Role

As an IAM Engineer you will manage user accounts, resolve access and certificate issues, and monitor platform health to maintain compliance and reliability. Your duties will involve incident resolution, service requests, participation in product development and roadmap planning, and delivering training on secure access practices. Occasional travel to Cheltenham and Manchester is required, with limited opportunities for international travel.

About You

We look for candidates with strong infrastructure experience and a passion for identity and access management. Essential skills include Windows or Linux infrastructure and Active Directory. Familiarity with Oracle IAM is desirable. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills are required, as is a proactive, collaborative approach to learning.

Learning and Development

A structured induction and tailored development plan will be provided to build capability and confidence from day one.

You’ll Develop Skills In

  • Technical Delivery: managing end‑to‑end delivery of cloud platforms and ERP systems, driving digital transformation and operational efficiency
  • Product Development: contributing to the roadmap and lifecycle of IAM services
  • Collaboration: engaging with internal teams and external partners across the UK Intelligence Community
  • Certification: pursuing qualifications from Microsoft, Linux, CyberArk and other providers
